The Redarkener

Early mentions of The Redarkener can be traced back to the Skull Wars and the blood soaked (but smoking hot) reign of Mistress Skull. As Humans were being driven to the edge of extinction by the legions of Exdead, Bedarkening cults had begun to form around the idea that Mistress Skull was actually the herald of an apocraphithic being they called "The Redarkener." The Redarkener is thought to be the creator of Bedarkening itself, and once the Elemential forces had ripened, would return to consume it and all who had tapped its power. Whether the cult's were for or against this event was never clear, nor were their feeling on being wiped out in the Great Apochraphon a century later. What is certain is that The Redarkener, whatever it is, brings the darkness; and it brings it hard.
