Tome 3

Eye for an Eye, Wand for a Wand

"Hrraah gave the air a cursory sniff, and the Jagwarrior responded in a totally awesome growling voice, “They come, Grimm Shado. They are more Extreme than ever, and I doubt that even your breathtaking Badassedness can save us now…”

Grimm looked off in the distance, his jacket billowing in the wind, and he cracked a Dangerous smile, “Old friend, you forget one thing…” he flipped out Hurt and Burn and twirled them in a way that was totally Wicked, 'I’m Grimm damn SHADO, and nothing’s more extreme than me…'" - "Eye for an Eye, Wand for a Wand ", page 187

The third and undeniably most extreme tome of this series details the escalating conflict between Grimm Shado and General Grabflank and how it is pushed dangerously close to the limit. In this tome, the chase becomes deadly-tastic as the various nations across the desert land of Fehtahn have placed a bounty on the Spellbiker’s head, for the crime of being just too damn gnarly. As bounty hunters and thrill seekers all around the spectrum of badass chase him down, Grimm must pull together every ally and resource he has to escape capture and prove that he IS the most awesome Sorcelator on the planet, and show just why they shouldn’t have messed with him… to the MAX…

Fan Reaction

While fans almost unanimously called this book the best of the series, some have criticized the book for its immense length in comparison to its predecessors. Many have said that if not for the amazing financial success of the other three books, many scenes present in the book would have been edited out. In response, Magic Mouse Publishing attempted to quell these ideas with the release of "Eye for an Eye, Wand for a Wand: Final Mix", an extended edition of the book containing never before released scenes, at almost double the length of the initial released version. While many true fans support the Final Mix version as canon, many prefer to carry the original version, if only for problems with upper body strength.

Excerpts

The Sorcelator piloted his magnabike next to the speeding, burning transport train, the electromotive engine spewing soot into the sooty air. He aimed the bike at the foremost Mecharoid troop car; separating and derailing it from the rest of train just as it trestled a mighty canyon. Shado leaped onto the rear of the forward sections as they continued along the maglev-tracks, whilst the rear troop cars plummeted down the gorge, each exploding in a Wicked Sweet Explosion that was totally larger and more fireier than the last. Grimm made his way to the front of the train, hurting and burning mecharoids as he went, pausing only briefly in the bar car to down a shot of his favorite Portamentian Gin.

As he reached the foremost section of the train, the Sorcelator used his triple wand claws to slash aside the ninja-mecharoid guards guarding the vampire-pimp's private parlor car. "Once again we meet Shado," said the vampire-pimp pompously, "and once again you'll fail to take it to the limit!" The Sorcelator mused on this darkly (and dangerously). "What's the matter Grimm? Aren't you going to say you'll just have to take me to hell instead?" "No," the sorcelator responded gruffly in a gruff voice, "Already been there!" "It's time to take it to the limit.....EXTREME!"-Eye for an Eye, Wand for a Wand, page 172

"You may have defeated me, but you can never kill me, and that is why you will never attain access to my section of the Ultraporn. Goodbye Shado!"-Eye for an Eye, Wand for a Wand, page 326
