Song of the Sorcelator: Tome 1

Overturn

"I'm a dangerous man, Brandi." uttered Grimm mysteriously and grittily (and dangerously). He could see that she felt smitten by his mysterious gritty danger - all of the buxom fox dancers in this seedy joint did. She fluttered her copious eyelashes and reclined into his gruff arms. Gruffly, he muttered, "You are one badical girl." -The Song of the Sorcelator, page 72

The first tome of this Extreme series begins with Sorcelator Grimm Shado riding his Magnabike, being chased by the evil General Grabflank in his Lamborghini. In a very badass way, Grimm's history is described through flashbacks, how he is looking for his past and why he's just so damn awesome, all the while pulling sweet moves on his Magnabike through a dangeously thin desert canyon passage. He eventually loses the General in a dust storm.

Misc Memorable Scenes

The Extreme Xorcelator finds himself in a remote Desert outpost, where he offends some Pirate Assassins. He enters the nearby tavern where he meets Brandi, the Buxom Fox Dancer. She helps him slip out the back without drawing too much attention.

Excerpts

The Ninja Shaman teetered awesomely at the edge of the rooftop; his motile lettuce Foodniliar likewise teetered. "Let's take this to the limit," he sneered at Grimm. "Let's take this to the limit extreme."

-The Song of the Sorcelator, page 62

Grimm considered the proposition even further, desperate now for a reason to mistrust this strange man. It was said that to leave the Penthouse was deepest doom, but he had seen this stranger leap up from its gutters with no difficulty. Clearly the warning was no more than uncertain myth. His face grimacing with conflicting thoughts, he accomplished at last, "To the max." -The Song of the Sorcelator, page 66

A voice was heard to say, "Who dares disturb the Crypt Of The Immortal Space Bitches?"

"I am Grimm Shado," said Grimm Shado, his triple wand claws extending. "And I am here to take it to the limit." -The Song of the Sorcelator, page 179

Steadying himself atop the speeding Lamborghini, the Sorcelator drew his twin wands - Hurt and Burn. He was going to make damn sure the Pirate Assassins and their Metal Friends rued this day, and rued it hard. -The Song of the Sorcelator, page 192

"You'll never take it to the limit!" said The Indominatrix over the roar of the speedboat engine. Grimm looked up across the bow to the approaching crest of Nitroburn Falls. He thought for a moment about how badass it was going to be to send an exploding speedboat over the falls with a domnatrix assassin onboard. "Then I guess I'll have to settle with sending you to hell," he replied, as he pulled the ripcord of his parasail-deployer/bomb-detonator. -The Song of the Sorcelator, page 234

General Grabflank stood on old abandoned Highway 87 looking down at the Magnabike tracks in the gravel, his Xyborgs fanned out behind him menacingly. He looked up at the sign beside the road and glanced back to the tracks, already knowing where they lead.

Structure

The Song of the Sorcelator was originally intended to be published in a series of smaller books but L. H. Franzibald didn't want to look like "that pussy with the hobbits" and, after protracted legal wrangling, won the right to have TSotS published as a single novel. This is why each chapter - Intro of the Sorcelator, Chorus of the Sorcelator, Verse of the Sorcelator, Key Change of the Sorcelator, Bridge of the Sorcelator, Two Neck Guitar Solo of the Sorcelator, and Coda of the Sorcelator - reintroduces each of the major characters. Note that in the original printing of TSotS, a printing mistake caused Chorus of the Sorcelator to appear a second time in between Bridge of the Sorcelator, and Coda of the Sorcelator.
