Great Apochraphon

In the Eighth Eon of the Third World, in the year 465 of that era, a great event wiped out three-quarters of Fehtahn's population when the Source Well became severely unbalanced.

The mysterious race, known as the First Versions, that were dominant during the first 400 years of the Third World were wiped out, leaving behind a massive legacy of poorly understood advanced technology.

Future Apochraphons

According to the writings of many noted Sorcelators, another Great Apocraphon may be coming. The writing refers to the apocryphal coming of the end-times, when all sorts of great nasties will be unleashed upon an unsuspecting world.

Since it's apocryphal, even they're not sure whether or not it's actually going to happen, or indeed just what it's going to involve. This has consequently allowed quite a lot of people to become very rich and respected by inventing their own theories about it.

For some reason, the activity of writing meaningless tracts has become known as 'tenure'.
